The organization has developed a mobile laundry platform that operates in prominent areas of the city, allowing for easy regular access to the service. Sosyal Etki: 'Since April 2016 we have been providing social services with dedication in order to ensure proper hygiene conditions for people in need. The main goal of our work is the social reintegration of individuals from vulnerable population groups. Through the operation of the mobile laundry at different but stable spots in Athens and Piraeus we are able to provide hygiene services to the homeless, so as to restore their dignity and self-esteem. Alongside, since January 2017 we have created part-time jobs for people from vulnerable social groups. By employing them for a specific time period and providing them with certain skills, such as work, counseling and guidance, we aim at their reintegration in both work and social life.'' Sunulan Çözüm: Save resources by rescuing and re-using waste timber that would otherwise be landfilled (or at very best downcycled into woodchip). Create sustainable jobs, as well as training and volunteering opportunities, for local people – especially those who might find it difficult to get into or back to employment. Sosyal Etki: With so much perfectly good timber ending up in landfill and so many enthusiastic people available (and keen to work for such a worthwhile cause) we believe that the UK could support around 40 to 50 such enterprises. Finansman: The NCWRP was set up by a mixture of grants and earned income, but from 2011 we haven’t received any grant funding for our core work. We’ve been completely financially self-supporting; generating all the income needed to meet our overheads through the modest fees we charge to support new members and to market our members’ collection service. So it was really hard to for middle and lower class of society to start their business or educate themselves. Sunulan Çözüm: In 2003, Muhammad Amjad Saqib resigned from the civil service and founded Akhuwat, with the support of his civil service colleagues and friends, which provides interest-free microcredit to the poor. Akhuwat Foundation started in 2001 with the first few interest-free loans which were given to the poor for helping them earn a living in a decent way. Akhuwat has five core principles on which all of its programs function. These include interest-free microfinance, use of religious places, non-discrimination, spirit of volunteerism, and converting borrowers into donors.
