Private sector provision is limited, with only six private retirement homes that are not affordable for local populations (price range is USD 1,000–1,700 per month). As a result, many elderly live in poor conditions, especially those with age-related degenerative and incapacitating diseases requiring special care Sunulan Çözüm: The private retirement homes (two assisted living facilities) offer a safe and dignified family living environment. In addition to full board, medical services, and supervision by qualified nurses, the facilities organize leisure and team activities (such as artistic workshops, card games, dominoes), specialized medical visits, and regular assessments by supervisory teams. It identifies three types of beneficiaries of the facilities: dependent elderly (often older than 70 years, although no criteria of age has been introduced); residents’ families since the centers are placed in charge of the individuals whom families can no longer take care of; and the caregivers (two years’ postsecondary training) who have limited opportunities in their sector.
