World Cleanup Day 2026
On World Cleanup Day, 19 September 2026, we are organising a cleanup mobilisation that starts at the same hour in all 81 provinces of Turkiye. Our goal is to bring the record for the world's largest simultaneous environmental cleanup to Turkiye with more than 10,000 volunteers.
Cleanup points are decided together with municipalities, universities, student clubs and civil society organisations. At every point participation is recorded via QR, and the waste collected is weighed and reported.
The cleanup carried out in 81 provinces on the same day and within the same time window counts as a single record attempt. Every volunteer's check-in and every kilo of waste collected goes into the official record.
A day that starts with a single rubbish bag turns into a country's shared story. Here are four reasons to join us.
In a single day we clean our streets, beaches and natural areas together. Every kilo of waste collected means a more livable Turkiye.
81 provinces, one heart. Regardless of age, profession or city, on the same day and at the same hour we stand shoulder to shoulder and show the power of solidarity.
With a Guinness World Record we announce Turkiye's environmental awareness and culture of volunteering to the whole world.
Every participating volunteer earns an official digital certificate of participation documenting their contribution to the record attempt.
Four steps from registration to certificate. All free, all in a few minutes.
Scan the campaign QR code and create your volunteer registration in seconds. Registration is free.
On the morning of 19 September 2026, meet your team at the cleanup point nearest to you.
Within the designated time window, clean your area with gloves and bags; weigh the waste you collect and record it.
Once your check-in is confirmed, your digital certificate showing your contribution to the record arrives in your email.

Our target for Turkiye
Every volunteer's participation is recorded with a QR code check-in; the record count is based on these check-ins.
The record for the environmental cleanup with the most volunteers at a single event currently stands at around 5,000 people. When we take to the field in 81 provinces with more than 10,000 volunteers, we will have doubled that number.
That is why every registration matters: your participation brings the record one person closer.
The basic rules we will all follow in the field so that the Guinness application is valid.
The cleanup takes place at every point within the same, pre-announced time window; waste collected outside this window does not count.
Every participant registers with a QR code and checks in at their own point; the participant count is based on these records.
Every point documents the start, the work and the collected waste with photos and video.
Collected waste is weighed and recorded at the point; the total amount is calculated from these records.
One bag, one pair of gloves and a few hours. We will handle the rest together — for nature and for Turkiye's record.
