1. Purpose
To explain how hangel's official social media accounts are managed, what employees and volunteers should keep in mind when posting about hangel, and how privacy is protected in users' posts.
2. Scope
hangel's official social media accounts; employees, volunteers and agencies managing them; personal posts about hangel by the Association's employees and volunteers; posts shared to social media from the hangel app.
3. Principles
- Accuracy. Figures, partnerships and impact claims are shared only if verified.
- Consent. Identifiable images of people are shared with their consent; images of children with parental permission. Images of people in vulnerable situations are never used in a way that harms their dignity.
- No personal data. Posts do not include personal data such as phone numbers, addresses or blood groups.
- Neutrality. No party-political propaganda is posted from official accounts.
- Respectful interaction. Comments are answered respectfully; comments containing hate, harassment or spam are hidden or deleted.
- Personal accounts. Employees and volunteers do not make official statements on behalf of hangel on their personal accounts; they may share personal views while stating their connection to hangel.
- Account security. Passwords for official accounts are not shared; two-step verification is enabled wherever possible.
4. Roles and responsibilities
- Board of Directors: owns the accounts; grants and withdraws access.
- Account managers and agencies: prepare and publish content in line with these principles.
- Employees and volunteers: follow these principles in their personal posts.
5. How it works at hangel today
- Users can share their events, volunteering and certificates themselves with the share cards in the app; sharing is the user's own decision.
- Event and volunteering images can be used by hangel and the organising body to promote the activity; separate consent is collected for identifiable people (Privacy Policy).
- The use of images of 16–17-year-old users depends on parental consent.
6. Not yet in place and our goals
- No written list of official accounts and authorised people is kept.
- There is no written content approval process for social media and no crisis message template.
- It has not been verified that two-step verification is enabled on the official accounts.
7. How to raise a concern
