1. Purpose
To explain on what conditions sponsorships, brand memberships and brand partnerships are accepted, and how we protect our independence and users' trust.
2. Scope
- sponsorships for the Association's own events and projects,
- companies sponsoring "Seeking sponsor" events on the platform,
- brand agreements for the market and affiliate programme,
- organisations being added to events as "supporters".
3. Principles
- Independence. A sponsor or brand cannot buy a say over content, speakers, report decisions, rankings or the choice of NGOs.
- Openness. Sponsorships and brand partnerships are shown visibly; they are not presented as advertising, news or neutral content.
- Unsuitable sponsors. For the Association's own activities, sponsorship is not accepted from persons or organisations whose activities clearly conflict with our mission (for example products harmful to children, weapons, gambling, tobacco) or who appear on sanctions lists.
- Participant data is not sold. Participants' personal data is never given in return for sponsorship; contact sharing through name badges happens only with the participant's consent.
- The organiser decides. For an event on the platform, the organising body accepts or declines sponsorship offers.
4. Roles and responsibilities
- Board of Directors: approves the Association's own sponsorships and brand agreements.
- Organising body: decides on sponsorship offers for its own event.
- Super-admins: manage the sponsorship service-fee rate and monitor matches.
5. How it works at hangel today
- Sponsor matching: An NGO or club can mark an event as "Seeking sponsor", stating a budget range, in-kind needs and visibility packages (logo, stand, speaking slot, social media, naming). Companies make offers; if the organisation accepts, the sponsor's logo is added to the event and both sides receive an agreement e-mail.
- Service fee: hangel's sponsorship service-fee rate (default 10%, maximum 30%) is written into the agreement at the moment of acceptance; a later change of rate does not affect past agreements. At present no payment is collected for sponsorship; only the commitment is recorded.
- Event supporters: An organisation administrator can add their organisation to an event as a supporter; if the organising body approves, the supporter is listed. Announcements to the supporter's volunteers and supporters are limited: at most one announcement per person for the same event and at most one supporter announcement per person every 3 days; e-mails go only to people who have not unsubscribed.
- Brand agreements: Brands' rights and obligations on the platform are in the Brand Membership Agreement.
6. Not yet in place and our goals
- Sponsorship offers on the platform are not screened against sanctions lists or by sector.
- There is no sponsorship agreement template and no written guide setting the limits of sponsor visibility.
- Collecting sponsorship payments through the platform has not been set up yet.
7. How to raise a concern
Sponsorship and partnership requests: info@hangel.org. Inappropriate sponsorship or brand communication: destek@hangel.org.
8. Review
At least once a year and whenever the service-fee model changes.
